I'm definitely a heels kinda girl but when Revolution Sneaker Store wanted to do a collaboration, I was more than up for it! I have always loved the cavalier sneaker look that Gigi and Kendall pull off so effortlessly. Albeit, I do not have legs for days--challenge accepted!

Revolution Sneaker Store (@revobrn) is located at Setia Kenangan 2, Kiulap. They are open 10AM to 9PM daily, so do drop by and check them out because they house a lot of brands and a lot of pretty awesome shoes for both men and women! The last time I was there they had the coolest pair of Adidas Superstar Weave (for men unfortunately) that I begged my husband to get but unlike his wife, he can control himself. I still wish he'd bought them though because they were gorgeous! I'm currently eyeing the New Balance MRL996DT Deconstructed White unisex sneakers that they've posted on their Instagram. I think that would look so good with a lot of things.

So back to my post--this is how I style my sneakers!

1. Back to the 90s!

The 90s made a comeback and I am embracing it with open arms. Here, I'm taking the New Balance 580 down memory lane with a pretty awesome cropped raglan tee I found at American Apparel a year ago and a pair of high-waisted jeans. The colours on this pair of NBs are crazy that I just had to take them to Skatedium where they had the 'Write This' Graffiti Art Competition last weekend.

2. Who run the world?

Girls nowadays have a lot stuff to do. Cinderella would have still gotten her chores done in her glass slippers, but sometimes, we need to run a little bit faster. I was absolutely inspired by girls who were taking over the world in their dresses/skirts and sneakers. Because, why not? Girls need to get stuff done too! AND, I'm really attracted to the contrast, so I took out my pleated ankle-length skirt and paired it with the Nike Internationalist!

3. Girls just wanna have fun!

Wear it with whatever your heart desires! You've seen this in my previous post for Aale but I am still digging it! I am totally in for craziness and fun surprises. Here I wore the Adidas Superstar with a more laidback Eid outfit. It may look a little odd to some but... trick is? There is no trick. Just own it.

My blogging gal' May (@themayden) had a collaboration too with Revolution, so go check her out (click here for Part 1 and Part 2) because she's totally killin' it in those photos!

So, go on and head over to Revolution and see what they have in store!

Love,

Singapore was the place to be last week with sightings of Vivy Yusof (@vivyyusof), Kat Von D and Aimee Song (@songofstyle)! I, on the other hand, had nothing really exciting happen to me except for the five (double) cheeseburgers I had from McDonald's because my tastebuds wanted some pickles, AND the four new liquid lipsticks that I don't really need but decided to spend on anyway! So I suppose, the lipstick effect is a pretty robust theory.

I got myself Jeffree Star's Velour Liquid Lipstick in Mannequin (LOVE LOVE LOVE!) and Rose Matter from my SIL (@fancydbyfii), and Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita and Lolita 2 from my sister who was in KL for a few days. (Yay, KVD is now available in Sephora Sg and My!)

Okay, so here's the low-down on my make-up last Sunday:

After my skincare routine, I used MAC's Pro Longwear Concealer in NC30 and Charlotte Tilbury's Air Brush Flawless Finish in 2 Medium on my forehead (because it's total zitville up there, thanks to my hormones and the junkfood that I inhale--yup stepping away from the cheeseburger). When I remember, I use the Erborian BB Creme all over my face before this step for an extra layer of SPF, but I forgot to use it that day. I've gone through so many concealers and bb creams but I always go back to these two.

For contour, I used the middle brown shade (ever so lightly) from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit in Medium, and went over it with the Kevin Aucoin Sculpting Powder in Medium. That ABH Contour Kit is definitely a little dark for me but I'm still determined to make it work! Still not sure how to best use it though.

For blusher, I used the mauve-brown shade (top lefthand corner) from the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Sugar & Spice that one of my best girls got me. I am obsessed with this colour. I've been using it everyday now... and I don't see myself stopping any time soon! And then to top it all off, I went over my blush with Hard Candy, highlighted my cheekbones with Mimosa, and my nose and cupid's bow with Crushed Pearl, all from Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Gleam.

I moved on to my brows using Benefit's Brow Zing in Dark (they've revamped their entire brow line and brought out new shades so I don't know what shade I am now), and then used the shade Buck from the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette all over my eyelids. I did my usual wing using Maybelline's Hypersharp Wing Liner and used my current favourite mascara The Edgiest Up & Out Double Mascara! It has two wands--one for volume and another for lifting. I think this may be my favourite mascara of all time.

Then, I whipped out my new Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita 2 and fell head over heels with the colour. Oh, and I also added the lightest shade from the Charlotte Tilbury Fallen Angel Luxury Palette for my inner corner highlight, which I have to say, makes such a big difference! I never cared for it before... and I remember doing it for the first time during my graduation and my dad comes up to me and asks "what is that?" in a half-joking half-worried tone like his daughter had silver eye boogies.

Weekends are for dolling up without having to worry about beating the morning traffic. That's one reason why I adore my weekends so much. If only I loved taking it off the same way I love putting it on... am I right, ladies?

Love,
Losravelda (@losravelda) is a Malaysian retail-clothing company specialising in modest wear. They sent me the Hara Kurung in Emerald Green in Size S (link here) from their Modish Collection. I get a little worried when I team up with a hijab fashion brand because I might not do it justice! That's more up Zahra Zamari's (@zahrazamari) alley (who you should check out btw, if you haven't already, because she is so adorable and kind and amazing! She does hijab fashion so beautifully and plays music like a rockstar). Anyway, I digress...

When the package arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by what they picked out for me! I was expecting an abaya or a hijab but when I pulled out a two-piece number that had such a cute skirt, I was over the moon! Perfect! (Thank you, Losravelda team!) It gave me old-school raya feels when I wore it, probably because the fit and style was so classic. The fabric reminded me of my teachers from ugama school who I hope are doing well. Overall, I absolutely love the minimality. I not only felt super comfy in it, but something about it made me feel more feminine and girly!

The brand has a pretty cool slogan--a brand that will inspire you to dress gorgeously without being immodest. That was the first thing that caught my eyes. Next, was the skirt. I just love the skirt! I am a sucker for pleats and folds. I have about 4 skirts like this in my closet! Must. have. them. in. all. colours. Thanks again, Losravelda!

Damalee Signatures (@damaleesignatures) is a subsidiary of Damalee Sdn Bhd. It is a multi-label hub that houses brands with a diverse range of clothing such as Ummi Najji, Emma Rachman, Azreenville and Qyrayounaz. It first operated in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, back in 2013 and soon expanded to Singapore and Brunei due to high demand.

Damalee Signatures BN (@damaleesignatures.bn) sent me three things and as a clothes fanatic who loves trying out new things, I was excited to try them on! Glad I did because you know what's great about trying new things? There's a possibility that it could pleasantly surprise you!

1. Emma Rachman - Haruhi Dress

This was one that pleasantly surprised me and is definitely my favourite out of the bunch! A) It made me look super elongated and slim. B) The dress is so comfortable and lightweight. C) The material is quite thin and feels cool against your skin. (Whut-whut! I'm a rapper!) Just be aware of the thinness of the fabric as you can definitely see my hipbone in some angles and I was already wearing an inner skirt. I'd probably just have to find a thicker inner. (Absolutely not a problem with heat because, like I said, the fabric is paper-thin!)

The beautiful Dalillah Ismail wore the pink one (click here for her IG post or here for more photos on her blog!). It looks incredibly sweet on her, doesn't it?

I can't find it online anymore, but do check it out in-stores!

Hello hipbone!

2. Emma Rachman - Maria Tunic in Grey Pinstripe

Available here!

When I browsed through the collection, a word popped into my head--Androgyny. During the fashion blogger high-tea with Na Forrer, we were asked whether we were more bohemian or androgynous. I remember saying bohemian, but what I really meant was... I'm in an awkward place between the two. I'm into androgynous clothing. I love structure and tailoring and oversized 'boyfriend' clothes. I would totally wear one of Emma Rachman's oversized blouses with a belt cinched at the waist and skinny jeans.

You can see where the material is attached together.

3. Ummi Najji - Instant Shawl

Available here!

I don't normally wear the instant shawl so I wasn't sure if I had to wear an inner scarf with this or not. (let me know!!). I loved the fabric and colour! It was again very light and easy. You can find more colours online or at the store. It was a tad bit long at the back, so you could probably pin it to the front to secure it a bit more. It had pretty details on the hanging part of the shawl, as well as on the side of the head. But most importantly, it was symmetrical on the forehead! WIN!

Details!

Check out www.damaleesignatures.com and @damaleesignatures.bn! Damalee Signatures BN is located at No. 41, 2nd Floor, Airport Mall. They are open every Tuesday-Sunday from 11AM until 7PM. If you have any questions, ring them up at +6732332282 or whatsapp them on +6738838741!

Love,

On the 2nd day of Eid, I wore my glamorous charcoal grey dress by Adila Long. It is actually a slightly more casual version (debatable, I know, but I said slightly) of one the Bridal Intemporal '16 dresses (see below). I'm the 'expired bride' because ever since Adila and I met, I always choose to make an outfit from her bridal line. Yup. Absolutely no shame... but the heart wants what it wants! (I'm that crazy lady who loves looking like a bride all the time haha! If only there was an MUA that could do my make up for me daily too...)

That beautiful yellow songket though, right?
I tried this on once and didn't want to return it to Adila.
Adila and I agreed that I have way too many pastels in my closet and needed something new for a change. I opted for charcoal grey in the end because my hubbabubs had already picked out all of his colours (contrary to popular belief, we usually pick his colours first! Truth!) and I didn't have anything to match his. SO GLAD I PICKED A DARK NON-LIPSTICKMYNAME COLOUR because the dress turned out amazing.

More detail at the back...
...and on the selendang.
It's raining beads.

Still on that metallic trend.

One day, it dawned on us that the colour scheme (metallic on charcoal grey) was similar to Gigi Hadid's Tommy Hilfiger dress that she wore to the 2016 Met Gala. Ever since then, we called it the Gigi. If Gigi's 2016 Met Gala dress had a Muslimah Malay, much shorter, older sister... this would be it. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find Zayn's silver arm-wear for Hazim in time! (Obviously a joke........ I wouldn't let him overshadow my dress!)

Anyway, thank you for stopping by, my loves! Only a few sleeps away from the weekend!
